David is a Founder Member of the BDA and has been its Treasurer since its formation in 1987. He was appointed as BDA Company Secretary in 1993. He represents the BDA at the European Dragon Boat Federation (EDBF) and serves on the EDBF Board as Permanent Members Representative. He was also elected in 1999 as the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) Treasurer. He is an IDBF and BDA Race Official and has acted as Chief Official at both National and International levels. Although he is a retired Civil Servant, he now spends his time devoted to Dragon Boat Racing and is always available to answer telephone and electronic inquires. Before Dragon Boating, he was Treasurer of the BCU Regatta Committee and assisted with the organisation and administration of both World and European Canoeing Championships. |
