Dragon Line is now offering not one but two quarterly photo competitions. There will be one category for those members aged 18 and over and another for those aged under 18. Winners in both categories will be awarded a prize. Contributions can be anything from the artistic and creative or action packed, to the just plain spontaneous and funny. Simply send in a large photo (preferably at least five megapixels) along with your contact details and a few words about the photo to:

Notts Anaconda are hosting an event with a difference while the GB squads prepare for the Euros at the ened of July. There will be a chalenge event on July 7th on the Trent near to their club but there have to be enough crews to make the event a success. The Robin Hood dash will be over 200m, followed by the Trent Bridge Challenge - a staggered start for all crews racing over 2km. To finish, the Dragons Pearl Relay for teams of 3 over 350m legs. Due to unpredictable river conditions the Exeter regatta, National League Round 4, has had to be postponed. The organisers are aiming to run the event at a future date to maintain a menaingful number of league rounds. |

The Exeter National League event will end in a Hog Roast and party at ExeCalibre's club house but before then there is the small matter of racing for both registered, scratch and charity crews. Look out for many familiar faces near the front of the 1000 craft Royal Pageant on Sunday as more than a dozen dragon boats take their place near the front of the flotilla. There will be ladies and others in Pink from the UK and overseas as well as most of the clubs from London present. Worcester, Pershore, Bristol, Henley and St Neotts will also be represented and performing the Royal Salute. A great showcase for our spectacular sport. |
