Fresh from their victory in Worcester Dragon Boat Racing Club's Race the Dragon Regatta at the weekend, Breakspear Aspire under 18s will be appearing on TV this Saturday morning and online on CBBC throughout the week. Tune in to Sportsround on BBC 2 this Saturday 28th June at 11:45am to see the team training on Troy Lake. Several GB Under 18 squad members have come from the ranks of Breakspear School under the guidance of Matt Williams and these helped the crew to their success and haul of trophies at the weekend.

BDA Patron Visits the North East |

Hot on the heels of the National League event at the weekend our patron Seb Coe, the powerhouse of the 2012 Olympics, will visit PowerHouse at the Teesside Water Sports Centre on Tuesday 17th June. BDA members will descend on the centre to demonstrate our sport to Seb and a significant media presence. Visit the centre and give Seb a warm welcome. |

BDA Awards Dinner & 21st Birthday |

The BDA Awards Dinner and 21st Anniversary Celebrations will take place on Saturday 8th November at the Hilton Hotel in Warwick – 7.30pm to midnight. Not only will there be BDA members present but also guests who may have an influence in the future when applying for funding etc. With this in mind it has been decided to have a dress code of black tie in order to give the occasion the special status it deserves. The attendance of under 18 year old members was discussed again at the executive meeting of the BDA held on Saturday 17th May. It was agreed that BDA members who are under 18 can accompany their parents or carers to the event. Tickets can be purchased from Joanne Griffiths (
