Great Britain has been involved in international competition since the inauguration of the first World Championships held in Yue Yang, China in 1995.  They have sent teams to every European and World Championships held since then. 

Great Britain runs Open teams for men and women as well as teams for youth (under18 and under 23), Senior (over 40) and Grand Dragon paddlers (over50).
