|
The British Dragon Boat Racing Association is the governing body of dragon boat racing in Great Britain. Dragon boat racing is one of the fastest growing and most exciting water sports you can take part in. The BDA is responsible for all aspects of the sport from community development up to managing British teams racing abroad. It runs a National League calendar for racing crews all round the country together with the National Championships held annually at the National Water Sports Centre. |

All the GB teams except the Senior Mixed took to the water at Racice, Prague on Monday in preparation for the start of racing on Wednesday. The 2000m race course was bathed in glorious sunshine although a brisk cross breeze belied the burning capacity of the sun. A few red shoulders were less than welcome at the end of the day, more sun block required! The Under 18s completed their second day of training and have decided to take a rest day ahead of the 2000m on Wednesday. Both premier crews and the Senior Open will complete their preparations today (Tuesday) and the remaining members of the Senior Mixed will arrive at the site after their road trip. We wish all the crews well in their quest for medals, there's no such thing as luck and the hard work has been done over the last 2 years.
