The British Dragon Boat Racing Association is the governing body of dragon boat racing in Great Britain. Dragon boat racing is one of the fastest growing and most exciting water sports you can take part in. The BDA is responsible for all aspects of the sport from community development up to managing British teams racing abroad. It runs a National League calendar for racing crews all round the country together with the National Championships held annually at the National Water Sports Centre. |

The second round of the National League will take place in Liverpool on Sunday 6th May. This will be the first trial of the new format with standard 500m racing to start followed by the Amathus Paired Buoy Challenge and the second league qualifying event the 2000m Figure of Eight. Helms will play a major part in the performance of crews in the club challenge and their points haul in the 2k. It promises to be an exciting and demanding day of racing for seasoned and new paddlers.
The Paired Buoy spectacle is a knockout competition that will play out in the dock in front of the Water Sports Centre and the 2k will take crews beyond the 500m start line on the way out and down past the marina for the second turn.
