After the disrupted season last year the BDA Executive Committee have reviewed our financial position for the 2021 season and, while we have lost money, we are in a good financial position.
We are aware that this is not the same for all clubs, some of whom are facing a reduction in membership and income. You will know that the club affiliation fees (£400 per club) were due for payment on 01 January, however we have agreed to waive these fees for all clubs that were members last year and extend your club membership to the end of 2021. We will refund the clubs that have paid for this year. For clubs that were not members last year, please get in touch with us to discuss your membership for this year.
We have made the decision to extend club memberships rather than adjusting individual memberships as this allows the clubs to decide where the money is best used.
For clubs that are experiencing financial problems Sport England has schemes for grants to clubs and the BDA also runs a development fund that member clubs may apply to. Details of these can be found on the links below:-
