Paradragons

Paradragons, para athletes with a physical or mental impairment, train with and compete alongside able-bodied crews at race events around the country and internationally.

Purple Warriors Dragon Boat Club were founded and joined the BDA in 2016, their aim is to smash society’s preconceptions about impairments by creating a team that will compete against crews that have no paddlers with impairments ... and win.

One of the founders of Purple Warriors, Nigel Bedford, is also the Chair of the IDBF Para Athletes Commission.
